MANAGEMENT
The management of Diabetes is stressed on a good quality of life based on a clever participation of the patient, his family and his community. The goal is to avoid acute decompensation, prevent or delay the appearance of late complications.
People with Diabetes must take responsibility for their day-to-day care. It includes monitoring blood glucose levels, dietary management, maintaining physical activity, keeping weight and stress under control, monitoring oral medications and, if required insulin.
Education is the key for all that.
